Sacred or secular music

BY : geofrey giovan

Music is something that any person would enjoy listening to regardless of whether it is sacred or secular depending with the mood. However the two factors perhaps influence you most greatly in deciding what you do and who you are.Choosing between them might be the hardest thing you can ever do but it’s a choice many of us face especially in our teenage years.
Many have said sacred music might be so essential and it is even much true that even those who have been raised in a christian background, would be encouraged to stick to the sacred ones as they do worship and praises to God.
In determining whether to listen to secular music,we should consider primary factors like the purpose of the music, its style and the content of the lyrics. The purpose of the sacred song is designed solely for worship or did God intend to be soothing and/or entertaining? The most famous musician in the Bible, king David primarily used music for the purpose of worshipping God. However when king Saul was tormented by the evil spirits,he would call on David to play the harp in order to soothe him.so while primary purpose of music does him to be worship, the Bible definitely allows for other uses of music.
However, secular makes us feel hyper all the time, feel entertained all day by its technical delightful phrases of its lyrics,it influences our behaviour greatly as its language is profane, drug filled music and sexually.A song about laying someone out on a table is always in your ears even if you are a Virgin, you are constantly thinking about sex.
When all is said, the question of choosing between sacred and secular music still remains but any music that deal with lust, drugs, profanity and alcohol are NEVER going to put you close to God.So where do you sit on this issue?

The young generation of today are lacking someone to share what they are going through.when one tries to express themselves in social media they are humiliated and judged .why can’t we help one of our own without judging them.

The recent cases of love gone sour tries to create an image of what majority goes through ,they tend to take such actions because they know the people close to them can’t be of help to them. The minute you  share with them what you going through, your problem becomes the meme of the day.

The recent case of the lady ,it is  sad when you see young people posting funny clips and memes about a merciless act all over social media as if it’s supposed to be funny. That somebody’s child you saying all ill things about.

People are trying to justify this acts by claiming all sorts of things about ladies, one doesn’t even know what happened and how the whole Story began but they are so fast to judge.

We need to rescue the young generation before it’s too late .we need someone to educate us on depression which is becoming a killer disease among the youth.we need to be educated on how to cope with depression and the negativity on social media.let’s not make fun of other people’s problem when they need someone to talk to .

Exercising conscious control over time spend on a specific activity to increase the effectiveness

1.Set an aggressive goal.

In life we have targets that we have set and they must be done at a particular set of time in order to achieve it and save on time

2.Start your day earlier.

As they say the early bird catches the warm. .

So starting your day by waking up early will help u save on time and achieve what you have set for the day

hence helping you to save on opportunity to have some extra time in hand .

3. Identifying what matters the most and giving it the priority.

most successfully people have many plans to do along the day

so they must have a plan to start with the most prioritized job to make the time relevant, hence

Avoiding stress and reducing friction in a given time and also helps to improve once reputation

4.Plan ahead and work on the plan.

When you plan for a task in a particular day at a particular time do not have a change of plan

Do it as to save on time, and in doing so it helps one to accomplish more in a short time

hence avoiding confusion and stress

In conclusion we must know that time is money ,having money you become rich

that is only achieved by managing your time well.
