SHOCKING ABOUT STUDENTS IN KITALE POLYTECHNIC

By : levi mateba

Kitale polytechnic students in kitale opened up about the extreme lengths they go through just to make sure their ‘lover’ doesn’t leave.

One is by taking loans to buy their partner’s luxurious gifts. This is mostly seen in male students. Applications like Tala and O’kash have largely benefited from them. Alphine Nyongesa, a third-year student at kitale National Polytechnic said he spends about Sh3,000 a week just to shower his girlfriend with gifts.

“I mostly get this money from my Loans or find a way to extort extra cash from my parents,” said Alphine.

Secondly is doing ‘wifely duties’ like washing clothes, cooking, ironing and general cleaning. As the name suggests, this trick is mostly carried out by ladies.

Susan from Kitale National polytechnic believes that doing household chores for her ‘man’ will make him largely dependent on her.
